Madison’s Review:
Hope solo is a famous soccer goalie and played in the 2012 London Olympics. In this book you will discover her hard life, strength (never gave up and pushed hard), and how she became goalie because at first she played forward. She was really good at forward but she became a goalie. One morning while she was walking from the car to one of the soccer fields, she saw a man limping and realized that it was her dad. She sprinted towards him and gave him a huge hug. About a year before, her dad had done a really bad thing, so Hope’s mom kicked him out of their house. Her mom remarried and Hope hated the person her mom had married. Often she would run off to her grandparents’ house.
Entertainment Value:
I thought this book was entertaining because it is on one of my favorite subjects, soccer. Also Hope Solo is 1 of my many role models and I loved her book.
Educational Value:
This book was educational because it was a biography and it stated true facts. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did!
