Today’s Free App of the Day Is Mysteryville 2

Mysteryville 2 (all ages, 3.5/5 stars) is today’s Amazon Free App of the Day, and it’s definitely worth your time to check this one out if you like hidden object games, since it’s from a trusted developer and normally sells for $2.99.

Some reviewers have complained that the app forces you to share progress on Twitter or Facebook before being allowed to advance through the levels (and have left 1-star reviews on account of this), but this is not correct. There’s a small “x” in the upper right-hand corner of the Share pop-up that enables you to simply close it without sharing.

Other 1- and 2-star reviews have complained about the app crashing on certain smart phones, but so far there have been no complaints of performance issues on the Kindle Fire. It just goes to show you: it’s always worth taking a closer look at reviews if you’re interested in the app or product.

Here’s more information about the game from Amazon:

One Amazon reviewer says:

As far as the game goes, it’s enjoyable–I like hidden item games…The graphics are crisp and clear and you can pinch to zoom in and out. I played the original Mysteryville and was glad to see Mysteryville 2 offered as the FAOTD.

If you like Mysteryville 2, also consider the original Mysteryville.
