Immersion Reading Fans: It Pays To Compare Prices

It’s your friendly KF on KND Editor April L. Hamilton here to share a money-saving tip for those who like to get both the Kindle and Audible editions of a given book when they can afford it, to enable immersion reading.

In a nutshell, when the Audible Daily Deal is something you’re interested in buying, check out the Kindle edition’s product page FIRST because Amazon’s price to “add Audible narration” after you’ve bought the Kindle book may be lower than the Daily Deal price on the Audible edition alone.

Of course you still have to buy the Kindle book to get the discount price when you “add Audible narration”, but sometimes the Kindle book is so deeply-discounted that you end up paying the same, or very little more, to get BOTH editions than you would on the Audible edition alone.

Case in point: today’s Audible Daily Deal on The Dead Room. The Audible Daily Deal price for the audiobook alone is discounted to $3.95 today only, but the Kindle edition is also currently on sale, for $2.99, and it only costs $1.99 to “add Audible narration” after you’ve bought the Kindle book.

So you can either get the Audible edition alone for $3.95, or get the Audible edition AND the Kindle edition for a total of $4.98. All it costs to get this book set up for immersion reading is one dollar and three cents more.

I paid the extra buck to get both editions.
