Wow, there really IS an app for everything!
HelidroiD 3D (4/5 stars, all ages, FREE today only) is a remote-control helicopter flight simulator. From Amazon:

When you finish the game, you become a real chopper pilot !

Note that this app is optimized to run on the larger, 8.9″ screen. Some reviewers have given the app low marks on account of its poor performance on the Kindle Fire HD 7″, but the issues those reviewers complain of should not be a problem on the Kindle Fire 8.9″ models.
