Today’s Amazon Free App of the Day is Ninja Chicken, it’s for all ages, and it’s rated an average of 4/5 stars across 44 reviews. From Amazon:
The Funky Chicken who Thought he was a Ninja
MoMinis is proud to present Ninja Chicken. A terrible, most unfortunate accident has happened leaving our poor chicken with chicken dementia. This funky chicken now truly believes that he is a ninja and not just any ninja–the best ninja of them all, with the greatest powers ever bestowed on any ninja ever before.
Our poor chicken is now on a (dangerous) ninja quest to prove to all of the other chickens that he is indeed a ninja. You can either stand by and watch this funky chicken crash into small, itsy-bitsy pieces, or you can show the other chickens that we all have a ninja inside of us!
Highlights:
- 30 challenging levels
- Dozens of mission to complete
- Cool and unique graphics
One Amazon reviewer says:
It’s a runner game with a Ninja Chicken. I could almost stop there: Ninja Chicken–great title. The graphics may be considered simple by some, but they are perfect for this game and theme–they are bright and crisp. They run extremely smooth on my device. Absolutely no lag!
There are two controllers mainly used for sliding and jumping. These controls are very responsive and use multi-touch–you can hold down to slide and still jump, after the jump (if you’re still pressing the slide button) you automatically return to your slide.
The game play is fun with missions to eat acorns, collect coins, and lay eggs (I’m guessing more “goals” will be added as the game moves on). This game has a unique feature–while the level’s mission goal is always the same, the play field to accomplish that goal is different each time you play. Even after accomplishing your mission it’s worth going back and replaying that level to see what else it will throw at you and in what order. And don’t be fooled by the easy first few levels–it gets progressively harder as it goes (as all good games should do.)
You have an unlimited number of lives to complete a mission and each mission (level) is autonomous–you don’t have to start the whole game over if you fail any one level (this is common in many games, but still worth mentioning). Also, this game unlocks up to three levels in advance of your last, so if you get stuck on a level you can skip it and keep playing.
If you or your kids enjoy platform scroller type games, give Ninja Chicken a try!
