This week, 10 year old Aidan reviews Gunman Clive.
Content Type: Game
Description: This is a side scrolling platform game like Mario Brothers or Kirby, but it has cowboys and geese in an old west town.
You have to guide Gunman Clive through old towns and roads where he’s being shot at by bad guys and attacked by geese sometimes. You have to shoot back, and jump and duck to avoid getting shot or hurt by things like geese and prickly cactus, but it’s not bloody at all. It’s more like a cartoon, or like a shooting gallery where targets just fall over.
The things you jump on are boxes, roofs, porches, train cars and other old west stuff, and you have to figure out what things to jump on in what order to get where you need to go to clear the level.
What I Liked: I like how each level is unique, it’s not like the same game over and over again. I like the animation, it’s more like it was drawn with pencils on paper than how most videogames look. It’s easy to figure out how to play, too.
What Could Be Better: I don’t think the geese should attack Gunman Clive. If he gets bitten by them enough he dies and you have to start the level over again.
Overall Rating: 4/5 stars
I Would Recommend To: I would recommend Gunman Clive to people who like interesting side scroll platform games.
Gunman Clive is currently priced at $1.99 in the Amazon App Store, and carries an average customer review rating of 4.5/5 stars across 243 customer reviews.
