The throughline of this game, like the novels on which it is based, is political, so it plays more like an Age of Empires strategy roleplay than a straight fighting/quest game, such as Skyrim, and some reviewers have panned it as a result. But if you’re a player who enjoys a bit more complexity and big-picture strategy, you’ll probably enjoy this.
