Here’s the set-up:
This book is based on a true story – the lifetime journey of an African woman – me. This is a woman’s life time journey from Rhodesia to Zimbabwe and beyond. I was born in Rhodesia, in the deep African townships; I have a lot of township experience, growing up under the Rhodesian regime.
As far as this book is concerned, it details the hidden stories of Zimbabweans, colour, race or creed, living in Europe. In any event, I never dreamt of politics, economic hardships to displace a whole people. My experiences have shown me however, that its perhaps not surprising, and I have come to realise that – in a split second, one can become homeless, with nothing to live on, and a refugee in another country.
