Marcie’s Review:
This book is about a boy named Edger. He lives on another planet in a different solar system. Edger is an orphan and lives in the grove with Mr. Ratikan (who is a very cruel man) and helps Mr. Ratikan plant fig trees. Their planet is separated into three [parts]: the high lands, table top (where Edger lives) and the flatlands. There are things that Edger can do that a lot of people can’t do like climbing, making a sling shot and not being afraid to go to the high lands by himself. This book has a lot of adventures and is very interesting.
Entertainment Value:
This book has a good sense of humor. This is the kind of book that you will not want to put down. This book is a little bit slow when you start but once you get into it you will love it! I hope that you will enjoy it as much as I did.
Educational Value:
This book is about teamwork. In this book you will find that two very different people join together to fight side by side against an enemy that now stands in their way. Together you can learn how two people (or enemy’s) come together and figure out how to fight them. In this book you can learn that people need to learn to help each other and learn to ignore their differences and learn to look at their similarities.
