Each of the 1,758 pages is a unique piece of the entire collection. Eco friendly, this art exhibit is an exclusively digital experience and the e-book is available exclusively on Amazon for Kindle.
I made Bible Album to shine light on the gentle beauty of scripture. About 1,600 verses were hand picked by myself to be a part of this collection, as well as a unique photo of nature, Creation, to be paired with each verse selection. This is the key theme to this entire work. Pairing the Word of God in text, Scripture, with the Word of God made manifest, the world, Creation, which He spoke into existence in the beginning.
To my knowledge, Bible Album is historic in that this is the first and only complete and comprehensive artwork of its kind, with all 66 books of the Holy Bible represented. It may very well go on to become a historic document. My aim with this work is that it surpass the impact of the King James Version of the Bible published in 1611 A.D.
What is love? Who is Jesus? What is the Big Bang? And what is the church?
What is sin? Who is God? What is life? And what is the Bible?
What is prayer? And what is a Christian?
These are common faith questions Bible Album may help shine a light on.
The work took approximately 2 years to finish stitching together to this point and not even the slightest attention to detail was overlooked in doing so.
The verses use the New Heart English Bible translation, and the rights to use the photos obtained through various third parties.
This art piece is purposely light on commentary or any extraneous factors such as credits. I thank all third parties for providing their work without any requirement of attribution. Besides a short note from myself as the artist at the beginning, this piece is simply me getting out of the way and letting the majesty of the Word of God, both written and manifest, speak for Itself. What you feel as you experience Bible Album is as directly as possible an interaction between God and yourself.
This work is of the highest calibre of craftsmanship and excellence. It is built to last. With time, the hope is that this work grows to greatly contribute to the betterment of mankind. Why? Because, It is a work that will, I pray, tremendously contribute to the collective human psyche encouraging empathy and compassion. Technology furthers mankind as well, but to what end if there is no heart or compassion? Bible Album is my legacy of compassion and heart, through God’s gifts in me, for the world He created.
