Here’s the set-up:
Joe McCarthy is homeless in paradise. He’s a down-and-out alcoholic who’s made the park benches and alleyways of Waikiki his unofficial home. The only thing he’s ever shown an aptitude for is the spectacular ruination of his own life.
But Joe’s thirsty for change, and his sponsor Kent is the only man willing to help him find it.
When Kent gets killed in what looks like a botched robbery, Joe makes a desperate plan to save himself from slipping back into his old ways.
He’ll find out who killed Kent, and why.
And hopefully he’ll be able to stay sober while he’s doing it.
