Sneha’s Review:
This book is about three kids- CJ, Brid, and Patrick who have just moved into a Fifth Avenue apartment because of their dad’s million dollar video game business. The kids are not happy, because they have to leave their friends, schools, and home in Brooklyn. As soon as they move in, something seems weird about the house.
When trying to knock down move-in boxes, they find out there is an eye behind the wall. With a lot of free time on their hands, (Their dad is at work, and their mom designing, leaving only a nanny that usually only takes care of Carron, their youngest two year old sister.) It is their mission to find out about the man that lived there before they moved in, and where he had kept all of his belongings with the help of the man’s daughter who is very old.
Entertainment Value:
This book is entertaining, because it isn’t your regular mystery. This mystery includes facts and historical features. You can also figure the mystery without reading the end if you look closely enough at the clues, but you have to look very, very closely. This book was one of my favorite books that I have read this year.
Educational Value:
This book is educational, because it has many historical facts and buildings in it. They go around New York and visit a few buildings, including Grant’s Tomb.
