Isabella’s Review:

The Romans and Greeks are at it again. Ripping each others throats out and cutting off limbs with swords. Yeah, this is book 3 in the Heroes of Olympus series. Killing monsters and saving the world, all in a day’s work. They are trying to bring the stolen Athena statue back to the Greeks so the world doesn’t end and the giant Earth Mother Gaea rises and steps on each and every continent and drinks the ocean in like 10 seconds. Oh yeah, and all the monsters trying to kill them won’t stay dead and all the monsters in the Underworld are rising. Volcanoes and tsunamis and earthquakes are going to all blow up and it’ll be a nuclear monster wasteland. The Greek Gods on Olympus are mad and are not helping their kids, the Demigods (Half God, Half Human kids) win the war. Maybe the son of Poseidon, Percy, can shoot giant waves at people and help win. Or Frank, the son of the God of War, Ares can shoot flaming arrows at monster’s heads. Or Leo, the son of the God of Fire and Mechanics, Hephaestus. He can shoot fire and build tanks. Annabeth, the daughter of Athena, has knowledge and wicked dagger and must face her fear of spiders and kill the giant spider call Arachne and get the Athena statue while the others try to save the world. This book has the perspective of 4 demigods. Percy, Piper, Annabeth, and Leo. Read the first 2 before you read this one though.

Entertainment Value:

This book is awesome! It has monster slaying and explosions and comedy, and also…. Romance? It has a great plot and is a sequel better than the first one. It is cool, man. A 4 person perspective of killing chaos and a lot of problems on their way to the forbidden part of the world. Can the other demigods save Nico Di Angelo from 2 twin giants about to destroy earth? Or will even the son of Poseidon drown in the mud black water?

Educational Value:

It teaches you a great deal about Mythology and the Gods of Olympus such as tales about girls turning into spiders and Minotaurs killing Villages and Rampaging cows of death. It also tells about places and heroes and other stuff like that. It’s a good book.
