If you’re a fan of puzzles and brainteasers, you’ll want to try the Grabarchuk series of puzzle books.
The collections include puzzles based on pattern recognition, spatial reasoning, word building, logic and more. Difficulty increases as you work your way through the book, but none of the puzzles take more than a few minutes to solve.
Note that the instructions at the start of each book are not specifically intended for the Kindle Fire, but navigation through the book on a Fire is simple. Just touch your selected answer, and the book will either take you to a ‘correct’ page with a brief explanation of the right answer, or a ‘try again’ page. The ‘try again’ page will direct you to return to the puzzle using your Kindle’s Back button, but on the Fire all you need to do is touch the Back icon in the popup menu at the bottom of your Fire’s screen.
From the ‘correct’ page, a page swipe will automatically take you to the next puzzle, in order. There’s also a handy index of all puzzles in the book at the beginning, with each puzzle represented by a small image and title; this makes it very easy to quickly find favorites you’d like to use to challenge your friends and family.
These books are fun and inexpensive, ranging from 99 cents to $2.99, all carry an average customer review rating of 4.5-5/5 stars, and the entire collection is included in Amazon’s Prime Lending Library, meaning they’re free for Prime members to borrow!
