The British Academy of Film and Television Arts held its annual BAFTA awards ceremony this past weekend, and many of the Film nominees are also nominated for Academy Awards here in America. The BAFTAs are typically seen as an Academy Awards preview show, since BAFTA winners often take home the corresponding Oscar as well.
The Artist was the big BAFTA winner this year, taking awards for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, Best Actor, Original Music, Cinematography and Costume Design. The Artist is still in theaters, as is Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy, which won BAFTAs for Outstanding British Film and Best Adapted Screenplay. But the source material for Tinker, Tailor… is the John LeCarre novel of the same name, now available in an enhanced Kindle ebook edition with audio and video or Audible audiobook format, both Kindle Fire -compatible.
