Thomas’ Review:

I was forced to read this book by my teachers so I immediately thought that it was trash but I soon found out it wasn’t. The Hobbit is sort of a pre-book to the lord of the rings series (Which by the way are excellent books).

The author starts off with an introduction so we actually know what everything is, and then the story continues. The book is about a strange creature named a hobbit, which is basically a dwarf without all the hair and tidier. So the hobbit, called Bilbo Baggins, has always been an ordinary creature that never does anything reckless or stupid but always plays it safe. He has always been proud of this until some dwarves and a wizard come and offer him a spot in their quest to try to kill a dragon that has taken all the dwarves treasure and now resides in the dwarf’s castle. He accepts but poor Bilbo gets more than he bargains for!
