It’s not for nothing that these were some of the most talked-about, obsessed-over, critically-acclaimed and award-winning shows ever broadcast on network TV.
On IMDB, The X-Files is described like this:
FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully are different: Mulder is a believer in the paranormal while Scully is not. Together, they investigate paranormal cases which take them all the way to alien conspiracies within our government and even puts their lives and careers at risk. Together, they try to solve the mysteries within our government, no matter what they have to do, and along the way they try to solve any other case that’s related to the paranormal.

This excellent series is like a mashup of Bones, CSI and Warehouse 13. You’ve got Scully, the agent grounded in science and hard facts, and Mulder, the agent who not only believes in the paranormal, but believes his own sister was abducted by aliens.
As Scully and Mulder work various individual cases with paranormal elements that have other agents stymied, cases involving everything from suspected vampires, yetis and swamp monsters to spontaneous human combustion, Mulder keeps pursuing his leads into an alien conspiracy cover up at the highest levels of government.
IMDB’s description of Twin Peaks:
Currently included in the Prime Video catalog.
A Twin Peaks reboot is currently in development, which tells you something about the enduring fascination with this show.
The body of a young girl (Laura Palmer) is washed up on a beach near the small Washington state town of Twin Peaks. FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper is called in to investigate her strange demise only to uncover a web of mystery that ultimately leads him deep into the heart of the surrounding woodland and his very own soul.

That description doesn’t do this show justice. This David Lynch (Eraserhead, Blue Velvet, Mulholland Drive) creation is every bit as offbeat and off-putting as you’d expect. Steeped in symbolism, subtext and pitch-black humor, every episode of this series is a dark, mysterious feast for the imagination.
The story begins simply enough, with what appears to be a relatively straightforward murder investigation, but in Twin Peaks nothing is as it seems, conspiracies lurk around every corner. There’s a seedy underbelly just below the surface of the seemingly peaceful, picturesque town of Twin Peaks, where supernatural forces seem to be working hand in hand with the citizenry and everyone has something to hide. This one is like a mashup of Blue Velvet, CSI: SVU and LOST.
