It’s your friendly KF on KND Editor here to share some great news: finally, Amazon’s put all those watch’em-every-year holiday movies on sale at a discount in Amazon Video format. This is particularly good (and surprising!) news when it comes to the Disney films in this list, and remember: that now includes all the Muppets films.
A couple of these, The Muppet Christmas Carol and The Santa Clause, have been on my digital wishlist since this time last year; I already own them in DVD format but have been waiting for a sale to replace the DVDs with digital. Now’s my chance—and yours, too!
All of the following Disney Digital movies are currently (as of 11/17/15) available to own for $9.99 in SD / $17.99 in HD in the Amazon Video Store. That may not seem like much of a sale, but remember that standard pricing for Disney Digital movies is $14.99 in SD / $19.99 (or higher) in HD; these movies in SD are now nearly 35% off! And as my lengthy wait for this sale demonstrates, they rarely go on sale at all.
Remember also, any movies you buy in Disney Digital format can be viewed on any device and added to any digital movie library that offers Disney Digital films as part of the new Disney Movies Anywhere feature, from Apple/ITunes to Android/Amazon Video and everything in between.
The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause
Non-Disney Titles
These are also currently available to own for $9.99 in SD / $12.99 in HD.
Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas (live action version starring Jim Carrey)
The original, animated Grinch is currently on sale at $7.99 in SD only (not available in HD) too:
How The Grinch Stole Christmas / Horton Hears A Who (animated originals, both films included)
…and finally, the animated classic no family’s holiday digital library should be without, currently priced at $6.99 to own in SD / $12.99 in HD:
