KF on KND Editor’s note: I have owned several of these over the years (this exact one is on my desk right now!) and I’ve LOVED them! I’ve also paid MUCH more for them when ordering direct from the manufacturer than the price you see here, from Amazon. The key is to find an ideal location with proper lighting and temperature conditions, away from drafts and direct sunlight, and then leave the pod undisturbed. It’s a completely sealed ecosystem, no feedings or water changes needed for the little saltwater shrimp to stay healthy, but only so long as it remains in balance. Once you’ve found a good spot, there’s no further effort needed to maintain the balance.
This fascinating enclosed world contains marine shrimp, algae and micro-organisms. Made from hand blown glass, each EcoSphere is a completely enclosed, self-sustaining little world.
