A six month old puppy gets abandoned in the mountains. He meets a she wolf and discovers an odd talent that he has for manipulating the thoughts of others: wolves, other dog aliens like himself, and even humans. This talent comes in handy when he finds himself in a cage at the animal shelter, but Clem’s about to find out why he has this talent, and what he’s supposed to do with it.
This is a happy dog story where the dog still lives at the end. It intends to amuse dog lovers of all ages. The reading level is about forth grade. Children aged 9 and older should be able to read it on their own. All of the content is rated G and appropriate for all ages. Younger children will be able to follow the story if it is read aloud to them.
Deliberately written as Christian allegory, this is also a story about the power of prayer in our everyday lives. Adults will find deeper meanings in the allegory, such as “This world is not our home.” The sequel, Dog Aliens 2: Oreo, is now available. It explores the problems we have when sharing our faith with others.
