Deja’s Review:

The Center of Everything is realistic fiction about a girl named Ruby Pepperdine. She lives in Bunning, New Hampshire –  a donut obsessed town.

Every night Ruby goes up to the flat roof of Pepperdine Motors with her grandma Gigi. But that all changes when her grandma dies and her life gets turned upside down. She only has one last hope. It all depends on what happens on Bunning day, when Ruby reads her winning essay for her 12th birthday wish. Or will she mess that up too?

Even with the help of Ruby’s friends Lucy and Nero, will Ruby be able to fix everything? Can Ruby’s wish set everything straight in her crazy world?
