Instant Video Spotlight: Amazon Rolls Out Prime Video Editors’ Picks

Amazon Prime members have free viewing access to the thousands of Instant Videos included in Amazon’s Prime Instant Video library, but finding the best of the best in such a huge catalog of selections can be a challenge. We try to help out here on KF on KND with our recurring Prime Screening Room feature, and now Amazon is doing a bit of curation for Prime members as well with a new Editors’ Picks’ top 20 listing.

All 20 of the selected Prime videos have an average review rating of 4.5 stars or higher, and there’s a good variety of genres there, too. Here are just a few of the films on the list:

One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest (R, 4.5/5 stars, currently FREE for Amazon Prime members to view, $2.99 to rent or $9.99 to buy)

Randle Patrick McMurphy is a free-spirited, small-time convict who fakes being crazy so he can get transferred from the state penitentiary to a more comfortable state mental hospital. One of Jack Nicholson’s most iconic roles.

Blazing Saddles (R, 4.5/5 stars, currently FREE for Amazon Prime members to view, $2.99 to rent or $9.99 to buy)

Once Mel Brooks’ lunatic film, many call his best, gets started, logic is lost in a blizzard of gags, jokes, quips, puns, howlers, growlers and outrageousness.

To Catch A Thief (not rated, 4.5/5 stars, currently FREE for Amazon Prime members to view, $2.99 to rent or $9.99 to buy)

One of Hitchcock’s finest: Stars Cary Grant as a former thief suspected of a new series of crimes and Grace Kelly as the woman who romances him.
