Instant Video Spotlight: Films of the Underrated Greg Kinnear


You probably already know Greg Kinnear has been nominated for, and won, some awards for his supporting actor performance in As Good As It Gets (PG-13, 4.75/5 stars), the comedy-drama that starred Jack Nicholson as an OCD-afflicted, curmudgeonly, bestselling author who’s brought out of his shell by a no-nonsense waitress (Helen Hunt) working to support herself and her son, but did you know that MOST of the movies Kinnear’s been in have 4-star or higher ratings on Amazon?

Feast of Love (R, 4/5 stars, currently priced at $2.99 to rent) – Professor Harry Stevenson (Morgan Freeman) watches love create mischief among the residents of a small Oregon town. Dear God (PG-13, 4/5 stars, currently priced at 99 cents to rent) –  Special delivery for comedy fans! Greg Kinnear (Auto Focus) stars in and Garry Marshall (Pretty Woman) directs this spirit-lifter about a money-scamming con artist who goes from no-good to doing good.

The Gift – (R, 4/5 stars, currently priced at $2.99 to rent and $9.99 to buy) – A woman with extrasensory perception is asked to help find a young woman who has disappeared. The stellar cast includes Cate Blanchett, Keanu Reeves (in a surprisingly chilling turn as a very bad guy), Katie Holmes, Giovanni Ribisi and Hilary Swank.
