This week, a fifth-grade guest reviewer takes a look at the Amazon Instant Videos Men In Black and Men In Black 2. Both films are rated PG-13.

Description: Men In Black shows how a New York policeman, played by Will Smith, gets recruited to the Men In Black and has to help stop a giant bug alien from destroying the planet. In these movies aliens have been coming to Earth for a long time and the Men In Black is a secret group that’s in charge of keeping track of them and making sure they follow the rules. If any of the aliens start making trouble the Men In Black have to stop them.
In Men In Black 2 a different alien called Serleena comes to Earth to try and get this thing called the Light of Zartha that was left by a different alien a long time ago. Serleena can use the Light of Zartha like a weapon to destroy other planets, so the Men In Black have to find it before she does.
What I Liked: Both of these Men In Black movies are very funny. All the different kinds of aliens in the movies are interesting or funny, and I liked how they show all these different celebrities on the Men In Black security screens because the celebrities are secretly aliens. In Men In Black 2 Michael Jackson is one of the undercover aliens and he keeps trying to join the Men In Black.
There’s a group of little aliens that work at the Men In Black office that are called the worm guys, and they drink coffee, smoke, and goof off. There’s also one that looks like a dog, and he talks like a New York tough guy. They were all funny in the first movie and they have bigger parts in the second movie. It was so funny when the worm guys played Twister in the second movie!
Will Smith was really good. In the first movie it’s like he doesn’t believe in the Men In Black at first, but then he becomes a really good one. In the second movie, he has to bring back his old partner. His old partner had his memory of the Men In Black erased and works in the post office, but it turns out that most of the post office workers are aliens! One of them has a language that’s like beat-boxing, and there’s a funny part where Will Smith and the alien talk to each other with beat-boxing back and forth.
What Could Be Better: I liked both of the movies just how they are. Nothing could be better.

I Would Recommend To: People who like funny movies and science fiction movies will like the Men In Black movies.
