It’s Thursday, and you know what that means: time to vote for next weekend’s Amazon Digital Deals.
It’s a John Hughes teen comedy festival in movies. Your choices are Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Sixteen Candles, Weird Science and The Breakfast Club. The winner will be a $1.99 Instant Video Rental next weekend (6/8-6/10).
This week’s music picks are pretty strong. There’s Neon Trees’ brand new album Picture Show, John Fogerty’s The Long Road Home: The Ultimate John Fogerty – Creedence Collection (greatest hits from Creedence Clearwater Revival and John Fogerty), Josh Groban’s Closer, and The Complete Billie Holiday. The one with the most votes will be a $5 MP3 album download next weekend.
In books, your choices are Organize Now!, Deja Vu, Deadfolk and Golden Dreams : California in an Age of Abundance, 1950-1963. The winner will be offered for sale at $1.99 next weekend.
Videogame picks this week include a few fun options for casual gamers and an adventure based on the classic Nancy Drew mysteries, and all are appropriate for kids! Ricochet Lost Worlds: Recharged (PC) is a brick-buster game on steroids. 7 Wonders 4 – Magical Mystery Tour (PC) is a tile/jewel matching game similar to Bejeweled, but with the added twist that as you complete the levels, you’re building the 7 Wonders of the World. Glow Fish (PC) is a beautiful undersea platform side-scroller in which you guide a phosphorescent fish through gorgeous reef and cave mazes to escape, either battling or avoiding enemies along the way. The last pick is Nancy Drew – Danger on Deception Island (PC), in which you can solve the main mystery by gathering clues, exploring, using morse code and deciphering anagrams, or play side games of chess and sandcastle-building.
Get those votes in, and check back here next Friday to see if your picks won! Also check back here tomorrow to see the Amazon Digital Deals for this weekend (6/1-6/3).
