Sorry! (4/5 stars, ages 6+, sale priced at $7.87—that’s 39% off the regular price of $12.99)

Slide, collide, and score to win the game of Sorry! Draw cards to see how far you get to move one of your pawns on the board. If you land on a Slide you can zip to the end and bump your opponents’ pawns – or your own!

Jump over pawns, hide in your Safety zone, and get powers with the 2 power-up tokens. Keep on moving and bumping until you get all three of your pawns from your color Start to your color Home. But watch out, because if you get bumped, Sorry! It’s all the way back to Start!

Blokus (4.5/5 stars, ages 7+, sale priced at $13.89—that’s 31% off the regular price of $19.99)

Develops logic and spatial perception while kids learn to be tactical.

Players take turns placing pieces on their board, each starting from their corner. Each new piece must touch at least one other piece of the same color, but only at the corners!

The goal is to get rid of all your pieces. The game ends when all players are blocked from laying down any more of their pieces.

Includes one gameboard with 400 squares, 84 game pieces in four bright translucent colors, and an instruction guide. Ages 5+, for 2-4 players. Typical duration of 20-30 minutes per game.

Munchkin Deluxe (4.5/5 stars, ages teens and up [some suggestive humor], sale priced at $20.53—that’s 32% off the regular price of $29.99)

Go down in the dungeon. Kill everything you meet. Backstab your friends and steal their stuff. Grab the treasure and run. Admit it. You love it.

Munchkin is the mega-hit card game about dungeon adventure . . . with none of that stupid roleplaying stuff.

You and your friends compete to kill monsters and grab magic items. And what magic items!

Don the Horny Helmet and the Boots of Butt-Kicking. Wield the Staff of Napalm . . . or maybe the Chainsaw of Bloody Dismemberment.

Start by slaughtering the Potted Plant and the Drooling Slime, and work your way up to the Plutonium Dragon.

And it’s illustrated (in full color) by John Kovalic. Fast-playing and silly, Munchkin can reduce any roleplaying group to hysteria. And, while they’re laughing, you can steal their stuff.

168 cards, 6 pawns, 6 player cards, game board, rules, and die. What makes this edition “deluxe”? It’s got a big game board to keep your cards in place, and six colored pawns that you move on the game board as you level up. Plus a card to go with each pawn, to make it easy to remember who is what color and whose sex has changed.

Walking Dead The Best Defense Board Game (4/5 stars, ages 15+, sale priced at $29.49—that’s 26% off the regular price of $39.99)

The Best Defense is a cooperative board game in which players take on the roles of Rick, Glenn, Daryl, Michonne and other characters. The Survivors must defend four key locations from Walkers – the Farm, the Prison, the Town and the Highway – in order to stay alive.

The game board is assembled at random for each game, providing for variability in the locations; a 25-card resource deck – containing either Equipment, Allies, Food or Ammunition – is placed at random on one of the locations. Walkers and other calamities are triggered in different locations by a 48-card event deck (every card is unique.), which players draw from each round.

They must then figure out how to minimize the effects of these events, using dice to resolve combat and determine the outcome of some events. Survivors can work together to combine their combat abilities or split up to cover more ground. If the Survivors don’t clear the Walkers out of a location, they’ll lose resources – and if any resource deck runs out, the players lose the game. Thus, players need to keep the Walkers at bay while not using up too many resources themselves.

Unlike most cooperative games, The Walking Dead Board Game: The Best Defense includes a leadership role that player can take for one or more rounds – or even the entire game, if others allow him to do so. Each player character has a unique leadership ability that provides a bonus while that character is in charge.
